The National Defence University of Ukraine is implementing modern VR technologies into the educational process

The National Defence University of Ukraine continues to modernise its educational and research environment. Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headsets are being integrated into the learning process, opening up new opportunities for training, research, and psychological support for service members.

Modern VR technologies at the National Defence University of Ukraine will make it possible to:

• conduct training in the format of realistic 3D scenarios, closely resembling actual service conditions;

• enhance attention, memory, and decision-making speed in complex situations;

• safely practice behaviour in stressful environments, learn to manage emotions, and relieve tension;

• support the psychological recovery of service members and assist in their return to active life;

• expand opportunities for scientific research and improve educational programs.

The acquisition of modern VR sets became possible thanks to the support of the Norwegian charitable foundation "HMM Helsehjelp Ukraina", which generously donated ten virtual reality headsets to the National Defence University of Ukraine. This is yet another example of how international cooperation contributes to the introduction of cutting-edge technologies into the training system of Ukraine's defenders.
