The Department of Physical Culture and Sports Rehabilitation is a core structural unit of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and Health Technologies (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") of the National Defense University of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as "the University"). The Department carries out educational, methodological, scientific, and scientific-technical activities.
The main tasks of the department include:
- to ensure the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree in specialty A7 "Physical Culture and Sports", specialization "Health and Fitness Activities and Adaptive Sports", under the full-time form of study at the tactical level of military education;
- to participate in the training of specialists at the bachelor’s, master’s, and educational and scientific levels in specialty A7 "Physical Culture and Sports";
- to contribute to the training of specialists at the master’s level in specialty K6 "Troop (Force) Support", specialization "Organization of Physical Training and Physical-Sports Rehabilitation in the Armed Forces", at the operational level of military education;
- to organize and conduct advanced training courses for physical-sports rehabilitation specialists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- to participate in delivering the elective course "Endurance and Survival on the Battlefield" for cadets of the Institute;
- to contribute to the training of specialists at the educational and scientific level in specialties A7 "Physical Culture and Sports" and A1 "Educational Sciences";
- to engage in methodological, scientific, and scientific-technical activities;
- to participate in improving the regulatory and legal framework and material and technical support for the educational process;
- to ensure the training and professional development of the academic and research-pedagogical staff, including internships in military units, formations, and structural divisions of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in line with their specialties;
- to foster the cultural and spiritual development of military personnel and University employees, promoting patriotism and respect for the Constitution of Ukraine among service members.
